Bright future for Shard End Community Centre

Shard End Community Centre is SAFE from the axe – despite the massive cuts inflicted on Birmingham City Council by the Government.

The Council has given a commitment that the Centre will be rebuilt over the next couple of years, so that it continues to serve future generations of Shard Enders.  This is great news, as Shard End Community Centre is used by hundreds of residents from across the ward and beyond.  I’m delighted that it is not only safe, but has an exciting future too!

If you’d like to find out more about the plans, please come along to the public meeting that Councillors Marje Bridle, Ian Ward and I have arranged for this coming Saturday, 1 February at 11am. The meeting will be held at the current Shard End Community Centre building on Packington Avenue.
