New era dawns for Shard End Library

The brand new Shard End Library is scheduled to open its doors to the public on Tuesday 10 April.

The iconic new building, known as “The Shard”, forms the centrepiece of the new All Saints Square and will also provide accommodation for the neighbourhood office.

The move means that the existing library will be closing on Saturday 17 March so that staff have sufficient time to pack up and move into the new building.  The Neighbourhood Office will also be closing its doors at the end of Friday 30 March so that they too can make preparations to move across.

The nearest alternative libraries available during the closure period are Glebe Farm Library on Glebe Farm Road, B33 9NA and Ward End Library, Washwood Heath Road, B8 2HF.
