Advice Bureau venue change

Moorfield Hall has been part of community life in Shard End for generations.  Located next to the Heath Way shops, the Hall has housed a wide variety of activities over the years – including one of my monthly advice bureaux.

On 19 January, the Hall will be closing for several months so that an extensive refurbishment and modernisation can be carried out.  When the work is completed, we will have a much-improved additional community facility for the Shard End area.

This means that I’ve had to find a new home for my advice bureau.  So, with effect from February, the bureau I hold on the second Tuesday of each month will take place at Shard End Community Centre, 170 Packington Avenue B34 7RD.  The bureau will still start at 7pm.

I’ll also continue to hold a session on the fourth Tuesday of the month at St. Peter’s Church in Tile Cross.  Please visit the Advice Bureaux page of this site for full details.  You can also find details of the advice bureau held by my colleagues, Marje Bridle and Ian Ward, by clicking here.

if you could help me find that out that would be great thank you.

    • Hi Aaron

Thanks for your comment. No, Moorfield Hall is not closed for good, but there have been some unfortunate delays in getting the refurb underway.

You should be seeing work start on site over the next couple of months and it will ensure that Moorfield Hall gets a new lease of life as a facility for our community to enjoy.

I’m keen to hear more about your proposal – can we have a chat? Drop me an email at John.Cotton@birmingham.gov.uk!

      Best wishes

      John
