Help win funds to upgrade local CCTV scheme
The CCTV cameras covering Lea Village, Kitts Green and the Glebe need an urgent upgrade – but it’s down to the votes of local people to help us win the funds to get the work done!
Birmingham East Local Policing Unit is currently holding a public vote to determine where to spend money recovered through the Proceeds of Crime Act. The Act was passed in 2002 by the then Labour Government and allows police officers to recover money and other assets gained by offenders through their crimes. The money can then be spent on community improvements.
Three projects from the Hodge Hill Constituency, including the Lea Village cameras, have submitted a bid for these funds and its now down to a public vote to decide who wins! Please spare a moment to cast your vote by visiting the police website here. Every vote will count, so make sure you tell your friends, family and neighbours to have their say too!
