Looking for training?

Kingsbury Training are a not-for-profit company providing a range of training opportunities for young people living in Shard End Ward.  I’ve just received details of two new courses they will be running this autumn:

Employability Course
Are you 16 – 24 and not sure what you want to do? Thinking about college, an apprenticeship or a job? Then this short employability course is for you.  This course can last from a week up to 10 weeks, depending on what you want from it and includes:

  • Tasters in construction
  • English qualifications
  • Maths qualifications
  • IT qualifications
  • Employability skills
  • Job search tips
  • CV work shops
  • Personal development sessions
  • Sports sessions
  • And much more

This course starts 7th November and final assessments will be held in January 2012.

10 week Vocational Course
If you are aged between 16 and 18 and looking for a way in to an apprenticeship, Kingsbury are offering a  10 week vocational course that can help you gain qualifications in:

  • Bricklaying
  • Painting and decorating
  • Carpentry
  • ICT
  • English
  • Maths

This course starts 7th November and final assessments will be held in January 2012
