Local Labour MP Liam Byrne is hosting a Jobs Summit for young people at the Beaufort Sports and Social Club, Coleshill Road on Thursday 19 July, between 10:30am and 1:30pm.
The Summit is aimed at local 16 to 24 year olds and offers the chance to speak directly to employers about vacancies they have on offer; advice on education and training and support with setting up your own business.

Kingsbury Training, the Birmingham-based, not for profit youth training company, are teaming up with Shard End Youth Centre to offer a new package of opportunities for youngsters aged between 16 and 24.
Starting on 7 February, the Kingsbury team will be at the Centre every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30am to 2:30pm. If you’re looking for training, qualifications or work experience in mechanics, construction, painting and decorating, IT, carpentry, admin, customer service or retail, this is a great place to start. The team are also offering a new opportunity to learn about motor mechanics, in addition to the chance to brush up on those all-important English and Maths skills.

South Birmingham College are holding an Open Day at The Pump on Wednesday 7 December, between 3:30pm and 7:00pm.
